AKUA Mind & Body’s integrative treatment for both Mental Health and Substance Use Rehabilitation programs are now available online in a private and secure environment. Our new Virtual Outpatient Programs replicate a similar experience as you’d receive through face-to-face individual and group therapy sessions.
Participate straight through your smartphone, laptop or any device with a connection to the internet. Join 1-to-1 intensive therapy sessions, video conferences, group sessions and chats, and counseling together with our licensed and credentialed clinicians.
We value and respect the privacy of our clients. Just like our in-person outpatient programs, our virtual program consist of private and secure sessions/communication and we keep all personal information confidential.
The partial hospitalization program (PHP) at AKUA Mind & Body is geared towards clients who have successfully completed inpatient drug detoxification and are now ready for structured, focused treatment.
Some clients will undergo substance abuse treatment at a residential treatment program before they enter into partial hospitalization, but this is not a requirement. It solely depends on the seriousness of the client’s addiction.
Partial hospitalization provides a middle ground between around-the-clock care in a residential treatment program and checking in several times a week with an intensive outpatient program.
All treatment therapies are individually designed for each person’s specific needs with a goal of lasting recovery
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at AKUA Mind & Body is perfect for clients who have successfully completed detox, residential treatment, or partial hospitalization. They are in the early stages of their recovery, and may return to work, school, or other responsibilities on a part-time basis. IOP patients reside locally in a stable environment such as a sober living center, or at home with supportive loved ones.
AKUA Mind & Body’s Intensive Outpatient Program is used to address substance use addictions, mental health disorders, or other dependencies that do not require round-the-clock supervision. This enables our clients to continue with their day-to-day lives with the goal of achieving everlasting sobriety.
Individuals who are undergoing intensive outpatient treatment for a substance abuse disorder are encouraged to engage in community support resources such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) on their own time to build a support network. Just like any other level of care for addiction treatment, intensive outpatient treatment does require a fully individualized assessment prior to admission.
AKUA Mind and Body is a full-service treatment program that offers a wide range of “east meets west” treatment modalities for many different populations struggling with substance use and mental health disorders. We offer both intensive inpatient programs as well as outpatient treatment. AKUA Mind & Body works diligently with each client and their family to ensure that treatment plan is specifically tailored to their needs, and not just their disorder.
